Default Who remembers the Stacker 830?

Hi, I'm gonna be using a old CoolerMaster Stacker from 2005 for my new pc build, do any of you remember that case? Do you still use it? Does it have flaws?

Also some more questions, I was planning on buying a non-modular psu, so how are the motherboard backplate space for cable management, is it good?

Does the psu mount in the top allow for airflow?

It does have a top mounted PSU. There are perforations in the top of the frame for airflow but there is only a 120mm hole in the spaced top in the centre.

From what I can remember, the version that I had is there are no cable cutouts in the motherboard tray to allow cables to be passed through to the backside. This was due to the removable mobo tray.

May I ask why you are using it as it a bit of outdated design now?

Because I can get it from free, I'm planning to mod it and add cable management holes, acrylic window and a psu shroud.

Do you think that the top mounted psu is a problem?

Since you mod, you can flip PSU around to have intake on top, that way it will be cooler and quieter.

I don't have the case yet, but isn't the fan of the psu pointed upwards? The case has little holes for the psu on the rear.

And how can I flip it?

You can mount the power supply so the fan faces down.
