Default PCP&C Silencer MKIII 1200 listed @ newegg

It looks like lately newegg lists everything before it officially launches. The price isn't what I expected, it's way more (just like the AXi) and it also comes with only 6x PCIe connectors (again just like the AXi) but it can accommodate two more if PCP&C is willing to sell them separately (unlike the AXi), we'll see.

Anyone reviewing this unit?

LOL! Embargo is 21st though. They did the same thing with the AX1200i.

Looks like that stylized "H" in Hong Hua's logo tricked another reviewer. He calls the fan a "Ong Hua".

We've known since Computex that it was a Super Flower Golden King unit; this really just reaffirmed the fan choice & capacitor choice.

To be honest; it'd be a better value if they could get it down to $280-300; as Platimax is $330 and offers more than this unit does. While it isn't as well performing in terms of Vreg it does beat it on the ripple / noise suppression a tad bit in terms of build quality, has some of the nice Enermax perks and is a quieter unit.

Right now, AX1200i & ToughpowerXT 1275w offer more at that $350 price point.

I'd wait for a proper review before judging electrical performance, I'd buy this anytime over a PUO unit, but not at this price... I'm really curious if PCP&C will sell additional connectors separately.

Considering we saw the LZG-1300 only have a 0.18v drop from 10% load to 100% load (even on a 108A load @ 12v) I'd say it's safe to assume the Platinum units (given that the 1000w Platinum results were in line with the 1000w gold results) from Super Flower are going to perform better than the Platimax.

Still, the performance difference doesn't make up for the Price Premium. Especially since this unit's best "feature" is either the modular connectors (which don't really benefit the unit much compared to the normal crystal cube connector) or the fanless mode (which isn't really that special either.)

Oh, I didn't know PCC displayed this one in Comutex. So nothing is really in secret since than.
