In OP it is stated that the unit DID shut down , so I suppose it's a faulty sample in DE review.
BTW that EGN has but one problem - no PCI-E connectors or sleeving. I'd call it a wash. |

Custom sleeving + fan connector? Interesting. Thought about modding one of my PSUs to have a fan control too, but maybe another time.
