Unless you keep your PCs for 8 years or more like I do. I prefer not to overclock since it decreases the life of the CPU. I see no need to upgrade as often as others since my PCs run very well for many years.

Overclocked systems can easily last you 8 years if you keep the temps in the right condition and voltages in spec. CPU's & GPU's are not so flimsy in that they'd die easily.

OC or not, I like to get the best cooler for the reduction in noise alone.

I agree. I like quiet PSUs too and am contemplating a workstation card like the
Quadro 4000. I don't game and I use Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere. MS Office 2010, ITunes and an Internet browser along with financial software. I know a GeForce 560 TI or 570 would blow it away, but frames per second are not the name of the game for how I use a PC.
