Here it is, folks, the tightest regulating power supply I have probably ever had my hands on. And it is up for sale... for now. The temptation to keep it is overwhelming and I'm not sure I can resist. But these do pay my bills, so I do need to at least make an attempt.
Up for grabs today is a Seasonic Platinum 1000W. This beast is fully modular with a single 83A 12V rail. Aside from being 80 Plus Platinum certified, it also has a selectable semi-fanless mode in case you like silence when it isn't working too hard.
As always, this is a jonnyGURU.com review sample. Therefore it was opened up for the review. No parts were desoldered on this one, but I did touch up some suspicious looking joints just in case. 90 day warranty from me as usual. Passed a full power hour long load test upon re-assembly, else I wouldn't be listing it.
Here's the review for your viewing pleasure:

Some highlights:
- averaged 0.3% voltage regulation
- passed Platinum efficiency
- handled 52 degree hot box temps (saw this between test 5 and CL1)
- very good ripple suppression
- did I mention it averaged 0.3% voltage regulation?
Cosmetically, it's 10/10. The warranty sticker peeled off with no residue left behind, and there are no scratches or smudges anywhere. Comes with full retail packaging.
Shipping will be from Canada to anywhere US or Canada, APO included. Canada Post will do the honors. Price includes shipping. Paypal only if you are in the US. Paypal or email money transfer if you're in Canada. Cash if you're in the next town over, or something. Heat is right
here.
Offers welcome, but remember I'm looking for excuses to keep it for myself. This beast out-regulates a Corsair AX1200, and I had enough trouble parting with that one.
Price - $200 USD shipped.
