I would ditch the Ultra PSU for something better, like the Enermax Galaxy EVO 1250W for example.

Thank you Zero82z for your reply.. Just out of curiosity does the Ultra X4 suck? I'll do a list..just to help me understand why this thing is no good.

1. Not reliable?
2. Not powerful enough?
3. Cables suck?
4. Looks like poo-poo?
5. Too heavy/lite?
6. Can't take hit from a 44magnum?
7. All the above?

A little more info would be cool. Thanks

It's expensive, inefficient, and has mediocre electrical characteristics compared to other PSUs in the same wattage range.

There used to be a compatibiliy issue between EVGA Classified and Enermax units.

Quote:
at one point there was an issue with enermax psu and evga classified motherboards, but that has been resolved by enermax ,if you have a revolution, or evo the serial # needs to start with 95xxxx or higher, i recently replaced my dxx1k psu with a evo 1250 its serial # starts with 99xxxx and it works fine, if you come across an enermax psu your uncertain of contact enemax tech, and they can advise you if you think there may be an issue.
