Default tx650 still good

i have a corsair tx 650 thats never been used got it when i rmaed my bad one about 4 years ago and it sat on a self since then because i ened up using a differnt psu.but know that im building a new pc i was wondering if its still good or should i invest into a newer one.i believe its a v3

Should be fine. But hard to say without knowing what you're powering with it.

just making a pc from old parts a z77a-g45 mothboard and a 3770k with a gtx470 and an ssd with two hard drives

Put it in socket with PSU on and computer close for 1 day, after that open the computer with no use for another day.
