Default Power Strip Whining

Straight-forward question here, this particular power strip https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 is in question. Makes a high pitch noise. Does it need to be replaced?

It's likely just a coil/inductor inside the power strip (for the protection circuit) making the noise. Nothing to worry about. They always vibrate, though not always at an audible frequency

You can return the power strip and try your luck with another one, or open the thing up (voiding any warranty) and putting a few dabs of glue or similar onto any coils & inductors you see.

Based on it being Amazon's store label alone, I'm not entirely sure I'd trust it. Man, you can get a GE power strip for $15 at Office Depot. Some even come with USB ports.

The GE one is good. They have them on Walmart.com really cheap too. The Belkin ones are almost always good too. The Amazon ones are crap.

I join the post, I want to ask for a Power Strip. Mine is crap so a new one is a must. Jon, what would you recommend me? https://www.amazon.es/gp/aw/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?k=Regleta I look for something cheap but good, I don't know if the surge protection is needed... My power grid is somewhat stable, but I suppose it's better to prevent than lament

What do you think about

And finally what's your opinion about the Brennenstuhl ones without protection for secondary locations?

Thanks, @JonnyGURU and company

Oh, it's because I sent it from the phone and Amazon gets crazy there. It's just searching "regleta" (power strip) https://www.amazon.es/s/ref=sr_pg_2?...qid=1507049731
Danke sch÷n

I'm a great fan of the Tripp-Lite isobar ultra series; built like tanks; I have over 20 in the house and would not get a surge protector with a plastic case, which can go up in flames.
