Default Help problems with In Win Comander 1500W

Hello i have the In Win Comander 1500w Psu.

http://www.inwin-style.com/website/p...16&iw_pd_id=14

It is the same as the 1200w i layout

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php...tory3&reid=130

the other day the psu didnt want to turn on so i looked at it and found that the 12v sense wire had been preesed against the top of one of the heatsinks and has shorted!

Now i have cut it and put heatshrink tube on and resoldered it toghter but the psu still dont work it switches on but there is not comming any volts out of it and i have cheked the fuse it is intackt and the 220v AC is working fine.

Can some one help me please it was a gift from In Win for a Review so there is no RMA.

I would be glad if some one or Jonny could help..

Hey bro It's entirely possible that the short did it's damage the moment you tried to turn it on the first time.

If its a review sample and was poorly constructed, IMHO you should have sent it back straight away.

I hope someone has an idea to get you up and running though

It is not poorly constructed the 12v sense wire was pinned down betwen the fan and one of the heatsinks and it was not for review purbas i got it but as a gift for reviewing some of there cases

there is not comming any voltage trpug it is like the OVP has kicked in and stayed there the fan is spinning at low speed and 0 voltage is at all the connectors..

OVP would shut the unit down, not leave the fan spinning.

At this point, I'm not sure what the problem would be. This could be more trouble than it's worth to repair.

If it is a sense wire, it shouldn't.

Where is the wire supposed to be? What color is the wire?

If it's yellow, it's not +12V sense. It's +12V.
