Default Diablotek EL 400W Review: A Look Inside (by me!)

If anybody wants to see what this unit, the Diablotek EL Series 400W, is like inside (since there is no info on it online), I purchased it and broke it apart.

Obviously I can't do reviews like you guys. I don't have testing equipment or the knowledge. But I do have a Philips head!

There are no x or y capacitors. It absolutely sucks, which is no surprise. The OEM is Circle, I'm assuming, since it's the only text on the bottom of the PCB. It's a shame people buy these, there is a huge stack of like 25 at Microcenter and they buy out quickly. Let me know if I missed anything or said something erroneous.

Is it just me, or the soldering on this unit is really atrocious?

P.S. @turkey3_scratch:Your 1st attempt as a reviewer is encouraging!! Certainly this is a much better review than i would have done

For this psu there is no test equipment needed. Your recommendation not to buy it in any case can be definately given just because of the electronics.

Found the problem, I guess I was posting it in a forum section restricted to certain members. This link should work http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/...ew-inside.html
