    Default LC-Power LC9450 Gold Series 400 watt fails 80Plus Gold @ComputerBase.de

I've got a new review for you.

The unit fails 80Plus Gold and the certificate isn't legit. The electronics are based on Cougar GX-S.

You mean Andyson S-Series, do you?

As for the 80plus Gold certificate: It's an Andyson unit, what did you expect??

Wow, who would've thought? Andyson missing 80plus cert requirements? Preposterous.

    Also, ripple.
Careful what you wish for... You just might get it.

I was referring more to the "advertise one thing, then sell another with different specs", that's been LC Power's modus operandi for years.

That ripple on the 12v makes this product instantly forgettable.
Unless I wanna remember it's downsides.

Plenty of other good ~450w units out there.

    pretty bad PSU.

Also Philip these hold-up times are way to high! You had told me that your measurements are way higher than mine but these measurements for sure are not the real ones (for instance the G-550 doesn't have above 16 ms hold-up time). You should check again the Chroma station you use, else you have to do it in manual mode. It is pretty easy as a procedure but you have to follow strictly the safety protocol, in order not to be injured/killed. Playing with 115/230VAC is not for everyone and you have to have proper training to do so (and equipment of course).

Don't get injured, that's my advice.

PSU looks bleh, functional, but that's about it.
At least that's what I could get out of reading it in German, my German is minimal and rusty. Google translate didn't help me much :P

I'm working on a correct automatic test mode for the hold up time. I'm working closely with Listan techs and Chroma to solve the problem. I think I will get better comparable results in future tests.
The measurement program used for these old tests test use some sort of perfect scenario.
