    Question Internal XG Magnum?

    Hey jG! How different is this Magnum compared to yours?

    I think the internal and external models are the same.

    Almost the same. Of course, the internal model has the mounting bits, that thing in the end that sticks out, the passthrough cable.. etc etc. But internally, I'd think they're the same.

    I think I would go with the one you have so I could at least see the LCD and also have it in a cooler enviroment to boot

    Snap one up while you can. SevenTeam says they're not going to make anything like that again. They lost money on that venture.

    My dad was wanting me to get one for him for Xmas,oh well.

    Yeah.. Funny market. Because it wasn't marketed as a 1kW, nobody bought them.

    Vortec: Those are Youngyear built units. I'd pass.

    Systemscooling or Xbitlabs reviewed one of those. IIRC, regulation and ripple were not the best but the most off-putting thing was there was no TIM between the heat pipe unit and the sinks. I did bring this to jon's attention at the time, I hope he remembers
    Zalman has a FSP built heat piped unit out now.
