Default Some Help from the forums if possible

    Hi there,

I have a really unique situation that I could use some help with.
First, I am located in Canada so recommendations need to come from vendors I deal with (CDW, NCIX, TD, Newegg).

In the telecom industry we use certain hardware that comes equipped with ATX PSU's. However as of late since some things get discontinued I cannot seem to find a unit that meets my requirements.

The old units we used to use were Delta DSP-300's and they had long enough Molex Connectors.

So, here is what I need. A PSU that fits these vitals:

    1) Cannot have a Bottom mounted FAN. In this BCM if it has that, it will choke and die of heat death.

    2) Standard ATX is the only format available.

    3) Min of 4 Molex

    4) Molex connectors need to be 200mm apart instead of 150 Mm apart

I don't need more than 400W but its been a bugger trying to find something to replace this unit with. Hopefully someone with more knowledge of connector length or such can help me find something that works.

    OK,

Why wouldn't you pick a good quality PSU that met your requirements, and simply get a $4 custom molex to meet your other?

I understand that 7" split might allow you to use only this and still a second split.

So, you are looking at 6-8 dollars in extensions. I understand it would be nice if they just made it the right length.

Anyway, my guess is that it would be easier and cheaper to get a batch of custom wiring harness made in bulk, and simply find a stock PSU that you like to attach to it.

Probably you can get a custom length ordering direct if you have enough volume to justify.

I agree that the selection's going to be easy if the split cable works.

Fair enough, I was hoping for a one Part solution instead of having to aquire two seperate items but I will give it a shot with some adaptors.
