    Default Hooowwwwdy jGforums!

I havn't posted here since 2009. Alot has happened in those years since i was an active member on this site.
I once started a thread here about submitting a user experience about owning a tested jG PSU. Well I am here to tell ya that my Zeus is still kicking ass and taking names after several new builds!
My other PSU that i received from jG,(a replacement for the Antec NEO 480 that OW recapped)an Ultra X3 1Kw shit the bed 3 days ago.

No magic smoke..nop pops or sparks...just a silent death with no hostages.
Fan still works and only had it pushing 12 spindels and a Prescott for the last 5 years 24/7.
Ultra wont RMA since it's a jG sample.(even tho I have a reg # on it)
All in all, it was a good PSU..but now im FUBARed because i have no clue how long this shitty Truepower 430 will last on my server with a nest of swollen Fuhjyyu's!

    Welcome back

How about replacing the Fuhyyus with fresh caps? It's not so difficult to replace those primary and secondary caps. Just takes a regular soldering iron and basic soldering skills

I would not waste my time with that 8 year old piece of shit...I got a Corsair TX750 to replace it today..what a bitch! Even with 8 satas and 8 molexes were not enough cables without some serious HD juggling, you dont know what you got until its fried...smh. But I would be interested in getting that X3 back into service. Think I might open her up and snap some pics to see if some of you guys might be able to spot the problem.
