    Default Question re Listan's be-quiet! Straight Power E9 680W

Having read jonnyGURU's review of the be-quiet! Straight Power E9 680W, I'd like to understand the impact, or potential impact, of the points listed under the mediocre section.

I'm especially interested the impact of non-primary voltage regulation not being very good & ripple being a little higher than a lot of other high-end units - could this shorten the life of components over the long term (even though both regulation & ripple are within spec)?

    I wouldn't say so.

Nope, the only thing you should worry about is overloading and cross-loading, scenarios which don't favor the rather low end topology used by these units.

Still, the thing is if you can't get better unit for the price, like Seasonic X-660 or Corsair AX650 and be done with it.

If you're within spec, I wouldn't worry about longevity. The point being made by dinging one unit that's "within spec" versus another is that with today's technology, it's hard to justify not being "near perfect" and still withing a reasonable price.
