Default So I talked to the guys at P3

About the Kill-a-Watt meter. I remembered Paul telling me that the Kill-a-Watt can give inaccurate results when reading the load from a PSU with APFC that have certain VA waveforms. I talked to P3's head engineer at CES and he said he was unaware of the problem, but would look into it. Also apparently they're continually working on the P3 and have improved low-load accuracy significantly, although it still isn't very useful for loads of under 10W or so.

    Just a heads up.

You have to remember that the average P3 customer is buying the product at Ace and Lowes to measure the draw of their refrigerator, washing machine, etc. They're not all going to be aware of accuracy issues of SMPS's with APFC.

Of course, but hey, I saw the P3 booth and they had an engineer handy. Why not?
