I'll just leave this here to let you know (since you don't seem to have much first hand experience from both camps), that ATi needs to get their driver team straight unlike nVidia.
OK, you know drivers are updated every month right?

    I have a NV 560 TI that cost $220 and a AMD 6850 that cost $160.

I Fully expected the NV to blow the doors off the AMD. Exact opposite!

Drivers, specific game application? Yeah these make a difference. However, your complaint is completely unfounded.

AMD drivers have and continue to evolve....just like NV drivers.

Right now, the cost to benefit ratio is easily on the AMD side.

Today, you can get a AMD 6950 for that $220 price, and it would be an even better value.

You are called out as a FANBOY TROLL, because you don't make any effort to give a balanced view.

For folding, go with NV. For value gaming, it is all AMD. Might change in the future, but that is the landscape today.

He's not ignorant and/or stupid, it's simply a case of severe bias.. and he's an EVGA proselyte

@ John, friendly advice mate, find a new religion... EVGA is shit, Shamino left for Asus, and the brilliant people that Classified the GTX 590 need to lay off the crack pipe, otherwise by this time next year I honestly expect to buy Classified branded toiled paper, for you need Downs syndrome and a recent lobotomy to brand that engineering insult as Classified considering what held that branding before it..

Go back to read my post again. I've ran both ATi and nVidia for years. When I had HD 2900 CF, my machine lagged because of the HDMI Audio bug (which I didn't use), CF didn't work. Even when it did, it was a frustration. And it STILL IS. I've little to no issues with nVidia or SLi whatsoever, and this is how it's been for years. Go figure.

Wrong. I bash them in their own forums for the nonsense and fanboyism. However, I prefer nVidia over AMD simply due to drivers (you're paying the extra for it). Period.

When I had HD 2900 CF
Yeah and the engine blew in my 69 FORD CUSTOM 500.

That was only how many generations ago?

3XXX, 4XXX,5XXX, oh wait...we are at the end of the 6xxx generation and waiting for the fall release of 7xxx.

Wow, if you live that long in the past, I suppose you have a strong preference in your chewing tobacco also.

Again, you're not doing yourself any favors with that graphics card, and especially at that price..

    And where's the Z68/P67 mobo?
