Question AZZA Dynamo 850W - Work with GTX 560 Ti?

    Hello,

I read through the stickies in this forum, however I do not think I fully understood the +12v rail thread and would like some clarification before purchase.

I would like some more info regarding the +12v rails on the AZZA Dynamo 850W power supply and whether it will work with the EVGA GTX 560 Ti Superclocked.

The EVGA GTX 560 Ti can be found here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130610

Its specs state it needs a +12v at 30A.

The AZZA Dynamo 850W can be found here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817517003

    It lists its rails as follows: +3.3V@24A, +5V@32A, +12V1@18A, +12V2@18A, +12V3@20A, +12V4@22A,-12V@0.5A, +5VSB@2.0A

Any information/assistance you can provide would be helpful. Thank you.

Yeah, it will "work" with the GTX 560 Ti, in fact it will work with two of them in SLI, because it's massive overkill for a single GTX 560 Ti system

However, it's a low efficiency PSU, passing 80% @ 230vAC only, and is in fact a 750W unit, not an 850W one

    edit:
Follow one of McSteel suggestions, they're all in a different league compared to the Dynamo, especially the Lepa G700 which is a true high end unit, and if you don't plan on going SLI, go with the G500 variant as it's still overkill for your needs

Why not get one of these (based on your needs and preferences) at around (or even below) that price point:

    HCG-750
    TX750 v2
    PRO750W XXX
    G700-MA

These are all of higher quality, better, more modern electrical design, and still a serious overkill for just one card, even if you overclock both the GPU and the CPU on liquid nitrogen...
Careful what you wish for... You just might get it.

Thanks for the feedback. After doing some more research last night I read some horror stories about the AZZA exploding in some folks cases. I settled on the Antec HCG-750: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371049

Thank you for linking that one McSteel and for your other suggestions. It is much appreciated. I'm glad I stumbled upon these forums in my search
