Default [Review] Mushkin Enhanced Joule 700W @ TweakTown

Chris Ramsayer over at TT did another Joule review. This one is 80+ Bronze, again Andyson (M series?)... The performance is somewhat bland, compared to some higher-class units, and even as a budget unit, it's ~$100 price seems a bit high for what's on offer. And I must say, I am not a fan of those caps:

Didn't Deer use Asia X in some of their craptacular units?

Yes, they did. And so did Topower, in some of their more questionable units...

You do know that Asia'X are a sub-brand of Fuhjyuu, right? And Mushkin has used them before, in Enhanced XP-650AP, for instance.

Looks too much like a topower to me.

... not that they make their own units anymore
But yes, the design could very well be theirs, and we have Asia'X to further reinforce that notion.

I also think it's a Topower made PSU. Indicatios: typical "active PFC" sticker, mesh grill (looks like Topowers Nano 80+ Bronze series), coloured velcro cable ties...

Asia X, APFC Sticker, & Nano Fan all scream Topower but I don't recognize the design.

SATA Cable count is also slim (only 4 connectors for a 600-700w unit is too slim. Should be at least 6.

At worst, the 12v is hitting 2.16% regulation; which isn't terrible, and rather expected looking at the design.
    The 3.3v & 5v are ~2% as well.

I don't think it's an Andyson M Series; as they have dual primary caps and use DC-DC on the secondary.
The modular Powerboard also doesn't look like the typical Andyson affair.

The Joule 800w is Andyson M Series I do believe.

I doubt it's the Topower Nano Series 700w (TOP-700WB) as that's got a different transient filter and it's cabling is completely different from this guy. The Main transformer also doesn't look to be positioned correctly for them to be the same.

I'm sure the OEM is probably Topower but I don't know the platform. Someone else may know.

I actually meant the FM series, not MT8, I know it's not DC-DC...

Anyway, this is the F500M, and there is a 600W variant... Perhaps this Mushkin is a custom-order tweak of the platform?

Though it still stands that it could be Topower after all...

    Travis? jonny?

I think it's Topower; as the component changes are too drastic for it to be FM.

Also, I remember FM having much higher ripple at higher loads.

That's not an Andyson. Maybe Focus?
