    OK,

    Still no answers regarding OS.

    This MB was issued in 2008.
    Many things change in 3 years.

    You are putting a newer graphics card into an older system.

    You again did not answer any of my questions regarding drivers.

    If I were you.

    #1 .

    Update your bios.

    Most recent is dated 11/08/2010

    This should resolve any reported bugs (I see some reports of freezing due to LAN connections=resolved in some previous BIOS releases, but you might as well instal the most recent.)

    #2 Make sure you have installed the most recent geforce drivers.

    Both of these options are free.

    #3 Buy 2 more gig of memory = 32$

    all my drivers r upto
    do you know any software which can test my system with full load
    so that we can know wheres the problem

    Processor - Amd Phenom X3 8650
    Motherboard - Asus-M3N78-EM
    RAM - Gskill 2gb DDR2
    GPU - MSI GTX 260 (216 cores)
    PSU - Corsair VX 550
    cooler -thermalright ultima 90 (90 mm fan)

    now my cpu temperature is constant @ 34 deg with full load
    but still im not able to play Mass Effect 2 and 3 demo even @ medium
    i have read in some forum that my processor is slow and it might be creating bottleneck for my gtx 260
    i have applied thermalright's stock thermal compound
    should i overclock ?
    please help
