If those bench marks are true (ATI faster in Doom3 than Nvidia ), I wonder what is MSRP and when will I be able to get it?

I think the release date is supposed to be around Jan. 22. If I'm incorrect, someone will spank me. _ReeL

Well, happy New Year every one.

I had a feeling that something fishy was going on with those bench marks, and I am not the only one. Here is a link to Daily Tech for their opinion: http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=5524

I think I will wait until February / March after they release the card, so the "dust can settle" (including pricing)

That's gotta be the best idea about ALL new tech. I've been an early adopter(adapter?), and it's always been to my dismay. The best deals in 'puterage has *always* been with the best of the last generation.

I can't afford to be an early adopter. Plus is pisses me off if i pay $XXX for something and then it's half that price next week.

I'm not suprised the R600 is going to be a better card than the G80. ATI and nVidia constantly play leapfrog with their products. This is just ATI leapfrogging nVidia. nVidia will leapfrog ATI next go round. Its a never ending cycle luckily for us consumers.

I just hope the R600 is priced lower than the G80. I dont expect to be by much though if it does. I also expect Newegg and ZZF to price gouge first week or two too. They been doing it alot in the last year.
