    Default Review: XFX Pro Series 850w (Core Edition)

    The German tech site TweakPC has posted a well done review of the 850w XFX unit from their Pro (aka Core) Series. It's translated from German via Google Translate, so the wording my be a bit funky, but results are results in any language....

    25mV of ripple at 100% load is pretty sweet, i wonder what the price on these units will be, the current line up already provides a pretty good value against stuff like the truepower and HX lines, i wonder if these are designed to take on the TX lines.

    More or less they are. But currently they are only available in Europe.

    XFX's Core Series has really good prices though.
    Off the top of my head it goes roughly like this:
    650w = £65
    750w = £75
    850w = £85

    And using Scan.co.uk I found these prices on the TX Series:
    650 = £58
    750 = £81
    850 = £82
    950 = £104

    So the prices are pretty competitive already.
