    thanks for the answers! I don't think that the Chinese manufacturer gives any info on this (I have read the manuals of 8800 and did not find anything relevant).

    @Spectre. Basically if you could pull info (like DC watts, Amps, etc.) out of the Sunmoon it would be very useful in various ways (e.g. combined with a programmable power meter you could monitor the efficiency in real time, automatically log and chart all data etc.).

    Oh I know it could be, but all of that info is available from the panel and I have to put it into our forms by hand anyway due to the way we reduce bandwidth....so it wouldn't save me any time....so I never asked them about how to do it.

    We have the SM-268AUTO's, the SM-268ATE+ are suppose to have the serial port. The manuals Jon got a hold of for me are for the ATE+ version (User Manual and Software Manual). I think the Software Manual part says it all.
