    Default Proper Hardware Reviews

    Hi All,

I've been searching for Power Supplies for a semi-corporate build.
I was just about to use an OCZ Power Supply but thought I had better check with jonnyguru first, glad I did!
I didn't know that OCZ used crappy Sirtec PSU's

I understand (and read about here) why jonnyguru doesn't review many PSU's under 500W because of the "sexy" requirment for advertisers, fair enough.

My question is where I can find similar reviews (similar methodology) for PSU and ALL other components for your average everyday PCs?

My 2 current sources of info are personal experience (subjective) and online/magazine reviews (ehem... marketing etc...).

Where can I find NON-Marketing-Hype reviews of PC components that are not sexy enough for sites like this?

I need a list of other sites that actuallyTEST components, but not just components going into the high-end gaming rigs.

    TIA,
    BK

    [H]OCP
    OC3D
    PCPer
    Hardware Secrets
    Hardware Canucks.
    XBit

Also you can take a look at Guru3D or TPU or SPCR.

Those are (roughly) the sites which I visit daily.

I usually pick a brand I know to be reliable across their range, like Corsair and Seasonic, and choose one of their PSUs

HardOCP did a roundup of sub-500 Watt PSUs a few times, last one in 2007 or 2008 or so. Let's just say that most PSUs in that range are junk, and sticking to a good brand really pays off there.

My list is very similar to burebista's.

But I'll add a few more that are at least ok :
    http://ixbtlabs.com
    http://techgage.com
http://www.lostcircuits.com (a little bit different than other tech websites)
