    Default PC Perspective Review Methodology

Ever since Lee's review of the Silencer 750W about three years ago it seems he has a good setup for reviewing. But what temperature does he do his load tests at? I've searched for a while now with no answer. There is a section where he measures the difference between intake and exhaust temps, where the intake temps can get up to 40C. But does he also do his regulation/ripple/efficiency tests at up to 40C, or just the temperature differential tests?

they say they test it inside an enclosure to mimic real world performance. So I would assume it is a little like OK Wolf's hot box, where there is no stable temperature, and the temp increases with the load put on the PSU

From efficiency numbers I presume he does all these tests in the hotbox(modded enclosure).

Thanks guys, that's what I was thinking myself. I guess I should pay more attention to his reviews since that was the only thing that was putting me off. 40C at full load is acceptable.
