    Sorry for resurrection

For those who are using a Gigabyte ODIN GT and are having problems with the USB connection, no responding, etc

Apparently the problem is not really Win7 ; although Win7 harsh handling of USB interface errors does not help

The problem is *most likely* that ODING GT is probably using an USB 1 or 1.1 interface and a lot of the newer Intel chipset boards (P67, Z68, ....) do not adhere to the standards.

Basically , these chipsets using USB 2.0 , USB 2.FAST, USB 3 are no longer USB 1 / 1.1 compatible because they poll at 70000 / second which is too high for USB 1 / 1.1

Its basically Intel who fudged this

    Spread the word

    ^ Board was/is X58, USB 2.0
Eventually got it to work , after redownloading the software, apparently my saved download had become corrupted
I'll never know if it will work on USB 3.0
Fried it, pretty sure due to running Prime and Furmark to many times on a watercooled 980x at 4.5Ghz with a pair of overclocked ENGTX460's

At least you stayed true to your forum nickname. Or rather, the PSU became it.
Careful what you wish for... You just might get it.
