During all measuring, the 0.1uF ceramic disc cap is present.

    1. With a certain 10uF multilayer ceramic cap, ~120pp, almost PERFECT sinewave.
    2. Without the ceramic cap, 70~80mVpp, normal "sawtooth" shape. The period of the switching frequency ripple waveform remains the same.
    3. With a Chinese 10uF Tantalum cap, 70~80mVpp, "sawtooth".
    4. With a KEMET 10uF Tantalum cap, 70~80mVpp, a little bit lower than 3, waveform gets cleaner by a fare bit, see switching noise gets reduced.
    5. With an 100uF Evercon 'lytic cap, <70mVpp, "sawtooth".

Don't know why a multilayer ceramic cap could "amplify" the ripple, but I've chosen KEMET 10uF finally and everything works fine after a couple of more units. Will be receiving an HX850W the next month, then I'll check if there's such high noise spike like OC3D's test showed.

Oh and here's the link to the article (in Chinese). English version is not available yet (because there's so much to do in the next two months...), but figures and numbers tell you everything. I think it reflects a standard DSG (silver edition).

DSG and its variants and PUK: <1kW range, efficiency goal is 80Plus Gold/Silver (including Bronze), ordered by Tt and Corsair. Cheaper ones is to replace PSH in high watt range but PSH is still relatively cheaper.
DSR: 1kW~1.5kW range, PUC replacement. Overruns PUC in every aspect. Long, large watt, expensive. First ordered by Hiper, but since Hiper is out of business...

Dude, you have 50 pages picturing the aesthetics and cosmetics.
    Software readings are crap.

We have samples of course, but like almost every PSU we sell, we're tweaking and making changes to see if it makes a viable product.

OK that's nice ... btw which segment are you referring to? 1kW+ or lower?

I was really interested on the details of this platform but there's really nothing to google out about DSR

Do you have some links, pics or maybe specs? Anything would help, besides Ikonik Vulcan model
    Just google'in

We look at all segments of the market. We'd like to be the #1 PSU vendor in the world, obviously, just like everyone else.

The DSR design is supposed to be for 1KW and higher, so we're looking into it for our next-gen high-end units. But we have a few other options, too.

Something else than PUC & DSR ... or maybe PUG?

I'm really puzzled with the Corsairs choice of PSU's ... any hints?
    Just google'in
