    Question PS Recomendation Please

I have the following setup and I am wondering if the "Corsair
HX Series 850 Watt ATX 12 V Modular Power Supply" will be good enough to handle my systems raw power.

    GA-UD3P Rev 1.6
    Q9550 @ "Right Now, I will go a little higher prob 4.2GHz" 485 x 8.5 4.16GHz @ 1.35v~
    OCZ DDR2 1150MHz @ 1170MHz @ 2.1v
    2 4870 1GB Cards in crossfire @ 800 / 925 by default "BIOS Flashed" " I bench these at higher speeds of up to 860 / 925 @ 1.32v~"
    3 WD RE3 320GB Drives in Raid 0
1 WD 500 GB for backups
    DVD Burner
Antec 1200 case with the 6 fans it has in it by default, and I have 4 slim fans attached to my 4870s, plus the 120mm fan for the CPU plus a little fan blowing on the NB.

I think my Silverstone DA750 is about dead at this point. I had to add a Booster 450w to deal with my extra card thus leading me to thinking my DA is dieing.

Tell me what you experts think and thank you for your time. If there is a simple test I can perform from my house without equipment to see if it indeed dieing then by all means tell me and I will give it a go.

    Thanks again,

Yes, it's just as good and a lot cheaper.

although the CP-850's usefulness would be seriously limited if you were to change cases.

It is really, ugly though. I just checked it out. I have never seen one with a fan on the outside like that .

Go with the CP-850 if you want to keep that case. But if I had that case, or any Antec case for that matter, I'd be in a rush to ditch it. Nothing against Antec, my TruePower New 750 is awesome. Antec cases have been falling behind for quite some time.

Would you please explain "Antec cases have been falling behind for quite some time".
Yes. One of the last commincations I had with Dave Hammock before he disappeared from the web was how a major brand single +12V rail PSU wasn't shutting down when shorted. We were literally arc welding with the PSU. Hopefully Dave's absense isn't due to the fact that he got over zealous with the welding.
