Default How to measure exhaust air temperature?

Use an aneometer (but the range is only 0~45c) or thermalcouples? What's the precision of thermalcouples when measuring air temperature?
It's been a hard day's night and I've been working like a dog.

Thermalcouples and it just depends on the thermocouple being used.

Can it provide <3 degree precision (measuring air temp) and how much will that cost?

The type K I use is +/-0.3% (+1c) from -50c to 1000c. It is a quad channel and the unit plus four type K's was ~$150 IIRC.
