    Default Where I've Been

Not sure how many of you were wondering why I'm light on the posting this week, but it's because of this:

The 1992 Chrysler Imperial I drove back from BC yesterday. It's already the nicest car I've ever owned, and it only cost me $1k

Went out to Surrey on Monday to get it on the bus ride from hell, closed the deal and got the permit to drive it home on Tuesday morning, and drove it back through the mountains yesterday. Slept in it when I could find a truck stop - the car is like a motel room on wheels thanks to the aftermarket tinting and factory soundproofing.

Has the 3.8 liter engine in it, which proved to be great fun in surprising people in the mountains who weren't expecting this car to be able to take the climb into the mountains like it did.

Got some video of the drive back to show you courtesy of the old Nikon. This was taken just outside of Kamloops. I should have gotten more footage of the drive past Banff, but I was worried about running the battery down.

I would have bought you a beer.

The car was $1000. I got lucky with this one... previous owner was a woman whose dad was a mechanic. I met him - the man knows his stuff. The car had been retrofitted to normal brakes because the ABS had gone out, so the car had all new brake pads and rotors, and all four tires were brand new as well.
