Default Some more AMD 4x4 Quadfather pics

Some closer up shots of the dual nForce 680a motherboard featuring two 1207-pin Socket F's, four PCI-e 16x slots and 12 SATA ports. The CPU's are FX74's (3GHz dual cores)

    Point? It's still called 680a.

Each of the chips is actually an nForce 590 SLI chip with an extra connection so that they can interface together.

    Houston... we have a problem...

The first photo is the brand new Corsair Dominator DDR2 8500. It's one of only three or four brands of RAM certified for the Quad Father.

No doubt the RAM is beautiful, but I had already planned on using these two copper Ultra X-Winds (second photo.)

I figured I'd give it a shot (third photo) but it looks like it's just not going to work (fourth photo.)

I didn't even try to install RAM into the other two banks because the other CPU socket is even closer to the RAM than this one!

So it look like I need either a smaller CPU HSF or RAM that's not as tall!
