WMP on W7 is pretty good in my opinion.
Awesomesauce
Foobar2000 for audio, Media Player Classic Home Cinema (MPC-HC) for video, VLC for the rare video that won't play with the stuff embedded inside MPC-HC
No need for additional codecs packs and crap. The only thing I probably ever install would be AC3Filter (better support for digital out and channel mapping, equalizer etc) and RealAlternative (for rm videos)
Aw hell, imma gonna jump in too. MPC-HC for video, XMPlay for audio.
Careful what you wish for... You just might get it.
MPC - HC or Potplayer configured to use Lav Filters with HW acceleration when possible.
I like to used the Window media player and VLC player which have better quality.
VLC for video
Foobar for audio
I have not heard of KM player and will try it soon. I never touch any MS media player as they always seem to want a codec of some kind. In short it WMP never seems to work. VLC on the other hand will play almost any video file out there. It is a really good piece of software IMHO.
