Default Removing extra cables... Can it be done?

As the title states... I'm running dual PSU's and there are cables on both PSU's that will never be used. Can they be removed/cut off, if you take care that they aren't going to short out?

Both PSU's are modular but there are some of the native cables that are not needed. It would sure clean up my case a bit, if it's possible...

    what do you think?

I had to cut off one about 6" of one of my SATA power leads and haven't had any ill effects. I've read where people have shortenend their ATX and molex leads quite significantly without any problems. I would think if they're aren't going to be used then there'd be no difference between them being there or not.

I would think that as long as the PSU works without anything connected to them currently, you should be able to remove and carefully insulate/isolate the connections.

Frequently PSU's won't work without at least a small load on some specific rails, also there may be some trickery required to power up the second PSU. If you have those covered you should be good.
