Default 24 pin connector, what do extra 4 pins do?

Some in another thread in another forum has stated that the additional 4 pins on the 24 pin connector (as opposed to the 20 pin connector) are used to power the PCI Express video. Is this true? Is there a site that indicates what each pin powers?

The pins provide extra power to the board altogether.

There's no "map" of where the extra four pins go because they're not there to provide power to any particular aspect of the board. The traces come together with the other +12V, +5V, +3.3V and ground traces in the board.
