    Unhappy I need help with a Workstation

    I bought a:

    S975XBX2 WORKSTATION BOARD
    FIREGL V3400 GRAFIC CARD
    2GB RAM
    2.40GB CORE DUO INTEL
    500GB SATA HD
    20XDVD BURNER
    WINDOWS XP PRO...BUT I'M LOST WITH THE PSU.

    I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT. WHAT KIND OF PSU CAN I BUY?

    PLEASE HELP. I WANT TO USE AUTO CAD, 3D STUDIO FOR 3D ANIMATIONS

    You might want to try another keyboard first, because the caps lock seems to stick on this one.

    I'm not really sure what the difference is between this board and the regular "Desktop" Bad Axe 2 board.

    For all intents and purposes, it seems to use a standard ATX12V power supply like any other current motherboard. No funky 6-pin Xeon connector or AGP plus or anything like that.

    The FireGL V3400 doesn't seem to have a PCI-e connector:

    So it's not going to consume more than 75W. ATI recommends at least a 350W for the whole system. Core2 Duo chips are relatively efficient. You only have one hard drive. I'd say you could get by just fine with a quality 380 to 520W power supply.
