I had to ressurct this thread, because that simply takes the cake.
I present you; Technoware 520W (yes, 520W).
It suppost to be a 520W unit, capable of 360W on the 12V rail.

I don't have any appropriate equipment to put it through it's paces, but i did install it in a cheap rig just for testing purposes. Suffice to say, at around 250W load at the wall, unit shut down after 1 minute of stress testing. Most intense 60 seconds in my life...

yeah, it must be a common mold design for these cheap chinese PSUs. In any case, it ran for 5 years without issues.

I'm well aware this is a cheap unit (as it retails for around 25€). But from first impressions, when i handled it, it seem to be built nicer than the usual 20-25€ units, comes with pcie 6 pin port and a power cord and zip ties.
Even if it can handle the power it is rated for, that would be amazing. It's predecessor, the SL-500 non plus was pretty much the same story as the technoware above.

Might sarifice one and take it apart, just to see what's inside.

SL-500 suggests it's Solytech made, and such were known to be junk at low end.

Solytech did make some decent units in higher segments though.

That is the exact same PSU as the Hercules that Wolf took apart, except maybe this one actually has PFC.

Yes, SL-500 is utter junk, but plus model is by the looks of it a completly different unit. Just weight alone must be twice as that of the regular 500.
First chance i get, i'll take some photos of the Plus models, maybe someone can shed some light what this actually is. I see plenty of cheap rigs built around this power supply and customers seem to be buying this psu as well (obviously since it's cheaper and better on paper than the very popular lc420-12).
