Windows 10 May Update freeze

Hi.

I have recently encountered a Windows 10 issue on my laptop. I have put off installing updates for a while, mainly I forgot to turn the feature on after some problems early this year. Anyways, once I did, it turned out there is a whole bunch of things Windows wants to install. I said fine, do your worst. So it did. It is stuck on a May 2020 update. It starts downloading, then installing and fails. There are two more KB patches to install which do not go forward because of the big update issue. I tried manual installation but it didn't work. So the only option is disc format and a fresh install. Or perhaps you have other ideas I could try?

Go straight for 20H2 and avoid updating an old version.

Microsoft does not allow a large number of computers to upgrade to the latest version of Windows 10 May 2020 Update. Microsoft has found that there are a number of known problems that prevent the full installation of the update on different computers.
