Default HP Omen desktop GTX 3080 psu help please?

Hi, I wanted to know if my current psu will be fine for a GTX 3080 upgrade? It came with a GTX 1080 Ti. The psu is 750w 80 Plus Platinum. I will attach a picture for more information on it. I want to get the Nvidia GTX 3080 Founders Edition.

    It'll probably be fine.

You think so? I was hoping because my main concern was having to use the 12 pin adapter that comes with the GTX 3080. At the time when I custom ordered the PC back then. I was able to order it with 2 1080 Ti's but chose not to. It was using the same psu I have now for that configuration as well.

Well, I stopped buying Dell and HP many moons ago just because they had the habit of making their kit not standard.
I have no idea what the pin layout/pcie cable connectors is like on this year HP. You will need to confirm by looking at you owners manual.

I think Johnny was indicating that you should be OK on the total wattage. You will need to confirm the connection layout/pin wiring diagram for yourself to be sure.

I also assume that that custom support bracket can be removed and that clearance (length) will not be a problem with your new card, but I would confirm that also before ordering.

Wait till Sep 16th for reviews to be more certain about power draw of RTX.

Might be a dumb question but need to ask it. Since I will be getting the founders edition and it comes with the 12 pin adapter. Is it okay and safe to plug in one of the 6+2 connector into one of the 8 pin side of the adapter? Or do you suggest only using the 2 8 pin connectors available with my psu plugged into the adapter?

    Use two 8pins.

I am out on the Nvidia 3080 FE. I secured a PNY 3080 with 2 8 pin connectors. Do you advise the same with that card as well using the 2 8 pins? Or can I go with the 6+2 and 8 pin now that I wont need that 12 pin adapter the FE requires?

You need two separate cables coming from separate sockets on the PSU for each 8-pin on the GPU, whether they terminate to 8-pin or 2+6-pin is irrelevant.
