Don't see much information about this psu online, except for its 80+ report and other forums calling it trash etc.

    Capacitors are:
    Samxon HP(M) 420v 470μF 2x- Primary Side Capacitors

Samxon ULR Aluminum Polymer Capacitors at the secondary side and at various places at the psu pcb.

Teapo SC of various capacities and voltages on both the Secondary side and psu pcb.

    Fan is DWPH EFC-14E120 (140mm, 2400 rpm +-10% 2w 12V)

It only has a single EPS12V connector but 6 pairs of pci-e connectors, I guess this power supply is oriented for multiple pcie devices.

This model is being sold for $40(new) in my region after the fall of cryptomining XD
However the fan always spins full RPM so modding is required.

Can you suggest an easy psu fan mod for it?
Its noticeable when its outside the case (not too irritating) and I'm sure it'll be quieter when its inside the case along the psu shroud on top,but I'm welcome to suggestions.

    12V * 0.8A = 9.6W. Not 2W.

Changing the fan won't change the fan speed. The controller will. For all I know, they wired the fan directly up to +12V without a controller if it's made for mining.

Do they still make self regulating fans?

Good question. I actually modded a server PSU I was using in a tower with a pair of 80MM self regulated fans. Not sure anyone has them anymore and definitely not in the 140mm variety.

This is the same platform as in Segotep KL series which is a no surprise since IIRC Colorful is Segotep's parent company.

Confused; what you show has asymmetric primary capacitors, what the OP has seems to have symmetric primary capacitors.
