Default Seasonic Prime TX vs Asus Rog Thor

    Hello folks

Would like to ask this two questions:

    - Which one of those mentioned power supplys is the better one? (I just from the visuals prefere the Rog Thor, but technically Im not a pro to determine this fact)
I would love to have a super silent power supply as well.

    - Which wattage (800 or 1000) you would use for a threadripper system 3970X with a single RTX 2080Ti (two m2 SSDs) perhaps only for fun reasons moderate overclocking.

    Thanks

You can only choose between those two?

From all of the reviews Ive red I came across those two. Kind of my personal oppinion.

But Im open minded for every recommendation I receive, so I would choose whatever is most silent, „best“ in quality, modular and not exeeding the physical size of those above mentioned.

800W would be enough for this build at full load.
ASUS ROG Thor 850W is Seasonic Focus based so Prime TX is better at this wattage.
But there are a lot of other good PSUs out there, Seasonic is not the only one brand making good PSUs in contrast with how some people would say.
To get some other recommendations you can start with telling us where you are from (i have no idea what Nasilikum is) and perhaps link some local online stores.

For example Corsair HX Platinum, Corsair HXi, be quiet! Straight Power 11 Platinum, Fractal Design ION+, certainly not worse, I would see better or similar, for less money.

All those from above come with a better fan than the Seasonic Prime TX, both Corsair's and be quiet! add multiple over current protections on the 12V, HXi has software control and monitoring and the Fractal Design has some really flexible cables.

I appreciate your answers, thanks for that.

The AX850 from corsair is amazing, but missing corsair link. The HX850i is 1cm too big. The HX to be fair Ive never checked before. Im just a bit concerned if I would choose the AX850 that I will miss the corsair link, altough the other initially mentioned psus also dont have corsair link. I would I think choose the AX850... 🤔

Why do you believe that the AX850 is amazing? Because I wouldn't say it's better then all I named. It only is more expensive.

You don't know? A PSU shouldn't be longer than your little men.

OK, again learned something new. 😂

Too big to fit propperly in the case. Ive ordered a cerberus X from sliger. Just because I dont have so much space and wanted to fit a full ATX board into a small case.
