Default I want advice on what psu is good

I tried to research on good power supplies but they r all over price or unavailable in Malaysia. I知 probably gonna wait it out until I see what happens. I知 here to ask what are usually the best power supplies under $50-ish(I知 good with 400w to 500w cause quality matters more to me than very high wattage but I知 pretty new so I知 not too sure what is good quality and what isn稚) and can someone be kind enough to explain the basics of a power supply so I can understand the terminology more please and thank you. Hope you guys are staying safe during this difficult times. Have a great day

    $50-ish is kind of low.

Do you have any links to some Malaysia stores that you can shop at?

Are you going to suggest a solid 300 to 350W instead?

I don't know if OP have estimated their power consumption right, either way, recommendations for 100W APU build and GPU heavy build just under 400W would be drastically different, and with this budget that matters.

My rig is basically an old rig with a few upgrades to save some money. In the future I do plan to upgrade it so that痴 why i want to be safe and get a 400-500w psu but if a 300w psu I what I need then I知 completely fine with it.

    intel i-5 2400
    8gb ddr3 ram
    Kingston a400 256gb
    r9 270

Try finding a quality 300W PSU. From what insiders say, 500W costs no more.
    Core i7 4770K @4.3GHz + iGPU | GA-Z87X-UD4H | 2x8GB Crucial Ballistix DDR3@1600MHz
    Prolimatech Armageddon heatsink w/ 2 x 140mm NF-A14 PWM fans
Samsung 840 Pro 512GB SSD | WD Black 4TB file disk | WD Red 3TB backup disk
Fractal Design Define R5 case w/2 x NF-A14 ULN front fans | no exhaust fan; grill removed
    PSU Seasonic X-650 Gold
