    Question Wattage PSU to buy

    I am going to be overclocking my pc and need help knowing how much wattage psu is needed? I won't be upgrading this PC until at least 3 years go buy

    CPU- Ryzen 5 2600
    GPU- Sapphire RX 580 8gb
    Motherboard- Asus Prime 450M mATX
    RAM- dual channel DDR4 16gb 3200mhz
    Storage- Adata 512 2.5" ssd
    Case Fans- 120mm rgb fans (x3)

    No more than 300W power consumption of entire system in stress tests. It's way more important what quality you get rather than it's wattage or efficiency rating for that matter.

    Corsair CX450M $69.99
    Antec Neo Eco Zen (sold by 3rd party with only 50% positive reviews... YIKES!) $71.44

    Yeah, you're right, in stress tests, OC'd that it, about 440W maximum. In games it's still about 300W. Regardless, there very few good PSUs sub 400W so aim for 400-450W at least.

    No your response was useful, I'm talking about the first comment. I didn't know you could quote, but I used PCPartPicker to get 419W
