    Default Need help choosing PSU

    Hello ! Greetings from Argentina.

Im writing because, like the title says, I need help in choosing the best PSU from what is available right now in my country (and also, if possible, the quietest). Ive purchased a Gigabyte B700H because it was semi-modular and had Plus Bronze certification but Ive ended up returning due to a loud "humming" sound when in full load. Ill be using the pc mainly for working , media and gaming.

    My PC:
    Ryzen 5 2600
    Gigabyte B450
    Radeon RX570
    2 x 8 GB 3000Mhz
    1 SSD M.2
    1 HDD 7200rpm
    Corsair Carbide 175r

Due to the current situation here, these are the only options available right now (from lower to higher price):

    Corsair SV 450-550
    Corsair CV 450-550
    EVGA 600B
    Thermaltake Smart BX1 550
    Thermaltake Smart SP-650
    Gigabyte B750H

These are also available but Ill have to bust my bank:

    EVGA Supernova G3 650
    Seasonic Focus 750 (FM)
    Thermaltake Smart Pro RGB 650
    Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 650
    EVGA GQ 650

    Thanks in advance !

The Gigabyte is definitely the only really decent PSU there, but you don't need 750W.

They don't have any lower wattage models?

The Gigabyte doesn't exist. There is a B700H and a G750H, but not B750H does not exist. I also don't see the graphics card.

Thanks for responding Jon! Actually, the model is Gigabyte G750H (my mistake) and yes, there are 400w (Standard) and 500w (Bronze) models.

Thanks for responding The Mask. Yes, I made a typo and the model of the Gigabyte is G750H. Is this the better one? What about the other five pricier models I wrote also?

Yes it is the best one from the cheaper ones. But that doesn't mean it is a good choice. You should give us a link to the store so we can see what's available for which price.

Maybe a EVGA GD 450W is the most interesting one.

So it's NOT the B700H? Even the B700H would be the better unit compared to the others in that list. And the difference between the B and BP is that the BP isn't modular.

I didn't bother to suggest from your second list because you said it would "break the bank", but of those, I would only really consider the Focus. Why on Earth the Thermaltakes and a GQ would cost more, I have no idea.

He has a B700H with a humming noise and he is looking at a G750H, but he made a typo and named the last one B750H in his first post.

I think your confusing the B700H with something decent from Gigabyte. Because the B700H is just your standard cheap double forward with group regulation.

Why on Earth the Thermaltakes and a GQ would cost more, I have no idea.

    The two Thermaltakes have RGB!!!!111one

Ill take in consideration the EVGA GD 450 and if my wallet allows it, the Seasonic Focus. The prices are from the same site youve just linked.

EVGA GD 450W looks by far the most interesting one for your PC.
