    I don't think this type of fan grill meets safety requirements for EU/US market

    The grill is inside the PC, so it's not exposed to fingers.

    Doesn't such a large grille mess up airflow/air pressure?

    You might have some back flow problems with the grill being open on the sides of the fan frame, but that would need to be tested and can have different results based on the orientation of the unit.
