Default New Seasonic Naming and Reviews

Recently Seasonic started renaming their PSU for easier comparison, but I can't find any of their new line reviewed. Are they the same units, namely, Focus + is now Focus with a two letter extension for rating and modularity.

Focus + et all are now Focus and the rest are Prime.

Is the lack of reviews because the units are the same, just with different names, or is it my search parameters?

I've decided on going with a Corsair unit anyway, since they are quieter and have solid reviews. CORSAIR RMX Series (2018), RM650x, 650 Watt, 80+ Gold Certified, Fully Modular Power Supply. Now, if it can just get in stock on Amazon at the same time as my motherboard, and if my chosen RAM stays in stock, sheesh! Pain in the ass.

Without Seasonic sending out a whole other round of review samples, who knows if they're exactly the same.

But based on the Seasonic rep's wording, it seems they just renamed them.

I'd go further and say that until we test off the shelf PSUs, we only know how a hand picked unit from the manufacturer works. But your point is well taken. Anyway, too noisy for me under load. Corsair wins the day with me.

If they only modified the threshold or sensitivity of the OPP or OCP, reviewers won't find any notable difference even if they test PSUs of the new revision.
It's been a hard day's night and I've been working like a dog.

Seems that they changed the modular connector PCB to double layer and removed cable capacitors.
