What's wrong with using a female molex connector?

You are right, female molex is an awesome solution and I'll do it, it's just that I wanted bare wires at first and didn't realize. Now if I use female molex, I'll need 2 wires to plug to it, 5v and ground. I'm gonna need to make my own wires. I can get individual molex pins online to make my own wires right?

It's a very good solution, I just misunderstood it at first, sorry. Could you help me with finding the wire type I need in order to be able to hold enough amps without burning? What should I search online?

I used to do something similar in my reviewing days. I had a lot of Molex-Molex adapters (they came from fans). Simply remove the 12V line, and if necessary move the 5V line. When you have a Molex toll, it is easy (a Molex tool is a cylindrical device).

I just found an article about modular PSUs: the pinout of the output is not standard, it can differ from PSU to PSU:

The pins on the PSU itself can be different. Nobody is telling you to plug directly into the PSU. Use a Molex cable and use the +5V and ground on that Molex connector. That's it. That's all. Not too complicated.

Thanks guys! Two last things: for better connection I want to add molex male pin heads to the 5v and ground wires instead of pushing bare wires to the female molex, could you please send a link to the correct tool that does that? (eBay/Amazon)
Also, molex has 2 grounds, does it matter to which one I plug the ground from the led strip?
