    Default Corsair CX vs RX

Building a new system and will be using Corsair. Been happy with the last few power supplies I got from them so I see no reason to change. I like Seasonic too, but it seems they are kind of resting on their laurels these days.

I haven't hammered out the specifics, but it is going to be Ryzen, either 5 or 7. Video card will be the new Radeon 5600 XT or a GTX 2060. I'm USA, if that matters.

I figure 650 watts will suffice, but I'd like to know more about these different models. I don't really care too much about modular, but do care about reliability and stability.

A high quality 400W PSU with the right connectors is already enough without overclocking. But you won't find such a PSU in the USA.

Never buy anything based on brand name, because you always make the wrong choice that way. Just look at the product it self.

Anyway Corsair CX550 is only 40 dollars after MIR.

Corsair TX550M is 70 dollars after MIR.

Both are good choices for that price.

Yeah, everyone is all about the watts.

Is there a current recommended list of power supplies that are known quality units?

No and because price is everything and prices chance daily it wouldn't be very useful.

    Corsair CX - Bronze
    RX - Gold

    Backend different.

Read reviews on Amazon and Newegg. Better to choose from reviews
