    Default Molex plugs

    I hate the 4 pin molex plugs, but understand that power supplies still need to offer them. What would it take to have then as an extension to a SATA plug so people like me could just throw them out?

    Buy a modular power supply and don't use the molex cable, problem solved.

    Tight cable could easily crack a pin or a lock tab.

    * More connectors to fail

    * Cables to lose

    How many times you had a failed modular connector? I never. Just plug it in the right way and don't do anything stupid like using molex or sata to PEG cables.

    Keep them in the original box or connected, problem solved.

    Never! Maybe because I have none ;-)

    You have a good point; how about we just agree to disagree?

    A Molex can carry more current than a SATA.

    And how about the connectors, because half of them are much weaker.
