Hello everybody,
I'm a new user, abeit I have been a silent ghost herearound for a while :P
I am looking for advice selecting a new PSU for my rig.
You can see its specs in my signature, but here they follow as well:
As you can see, I am actually using a Corsair CX750M PSU...which proved to be a real s***.Code:CPU Intel Core i7-66700k Motherboard ASUS Prime Z230-A RAM 16GB DDR-4 Corsair GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 PSU CX750M 1 x SSD 120GB 2 x HDD 7.2RPM 1 x 80RPM fan 1 x CoolerMaster Seidon 120 liquid CPU cooler LG BD-Writer FrontBay 2 x 2.0 USB ports + 3 x USB 3.0 ports + cardreader K260 combo wifi KB+mouse external USB wifi adapter ..and my trusty USB 2.0 TARDIS Hub
I bought it two years ago, and it literally fried two MSI "mortar" motherboards.
I suspected power surges to be involved, so I basically replaced the PSU with a new unit (same model), I changed my motherboard and GPU as well, and all went well for a few months...
...then my PC started to reboot randomly as soon as it reaches OS login (win10x64 here)....and I read around about the CX750 to be a pile of crap.
That was the last straw, and I think I am done with Corsair, at least for the moment being.
I made my calculations, and I probably need no more than 400W to power up my rig...I would go for a 600-650W to be on the safe side...I live in EU and I would like to spend fair money for my PSU, since I'm not the richest guy around :P
That said, I'd love to spend less than 100 euros, if possible, but I am prepared to spend more, if needed: I already took the "cheap" step, and it cost me a lot...
Care to suggest me some decent option(s)?
Many thanks in advance for your help and contributions.
