    Default 1st Player Steampunk PS-750SP 750 W Review @ TechPowerUP

    https://www.techpowerup.com/review/1...s-750sp-750-w/

This is the first time I review a product from 1st Player, and I am curious to see what this PSU looks like internally and how it performs because it doesn't use a popular platform, but is based on an in-house design. This brand's parent company Helly Technology owns a manufacturing line, building its own power supplies, which can be a tremendous advantage.

Any guess who actually made this? Probably not the most cost efficient design but assembly quality looks okay.

For a power supply called "Steampunk" it looks disappointingly generic.

I'm not familiar with Helly Technology. Do they produce any noteworthy units for other brands?

Seems like such a missed opportunity to do something far more aesthetically in-line with the name. Wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea but I dare say it would have a market.

Why don't the bridge rectifiers straddle their heatsink?

I guess they figure the heat from one will transfer around the package of the other?
